Billy Bob From Showbiz Is Back

Where I grew up, Chuck E. Cheese was unheard of and Showbiz Pizza was the place to have birthday parties. I remember playing skeeball with nervous anticipation of Billy Bob and the band. I even had an album of Showbiz cover songs on vinyl, which may be my first record. My mind may be deceiving me, but I remember them covering The Doors “Light My Fire.” From the video above, it looks like Billy Bob is looking for a comeback. Although, I can’t help but notice how many empty moonshine bottles are littered around him. (via Gorilla vs. Bear)

The Lost Season Finale

Last night’s Lost finale was good, not amazing or life-changing by any means, but definitely worth the two hours spent watching and the two weeks of anticipation. The Fire Wire is full of good stuff about last night’s episode, including what Sawyer whispered to Kate, the mysterious backwards phone call in Kate’s dream, and the two alternate endings that they shot. The whisper and the phone call definitely shed some new light on events to come in the next two seasons.

Web 2.0 Design Cliches

Definitely guilty of a couple of these. When used in moderation, I’m not sure that it’s always a bad thing. (via F.U. and the Blog You Rode In On)

These are some sketches that the very talented Dave Little did for a website project that we are working on. Eventually they will be full color and part of a site design, but they look pretty nice as is. Check out more of Dave’s sketches at his blog.

A blog called The Ampersand is about the ampersand. The blog “is an attempt to give this humble character the respect it deserves.”

Wants For Sale

Buffalo Chicken Wings

Wants For Sale is a site that two painters created, which has painting of objects that they want. People can buy the paintings for the price of the desired item. So far, paintings of buffalo wings, a NIntendo Wii, an iPhone, a month’s rent, and more have sold. I would love to see the site open up to allow other artists to contribute their paintings.
