A couple of weeks back I posted a video of the Rockafire Explosion (the animatronic band from Showbiz Pizza) performing Usher’s “Love In This Club.” The performance was choreographed by a guy named Chris Trash, who has a fully working version of the band in his garage. The Rockafire Explosion: The Movie is a documentary about the “band” and more specifically about Chris. I definitely underestimated the impact BIlly Bob and the band had on kids in the 80s. Grizzly Bear played “While You Wait For The Others,” an unreleased song from their forthcoming album, on Conan last night. It was my favorite song they played at Music Now and it seems to have won Conan over as well.
